In Between my bigger discoveries, i've tested a lot of smaller things, one
of them being: If you bomb with a low tier bomb, how does that affect the
score gain? Well, I can't say this 100% for sure, but from a few small
scale tests, you gain slightly more score with a lower bomb (as low as
possible without overlap). I think the reasoning behind why this is true
is, when you have a lower tier player bomb, you don't kill the zombies as
quickly, therefore allowing more tower hits before you kill the zombie,
which in return allows for more score gain from that zombie. But on the
other hand, with a lower tier player bomb, you kill less zombies... which
could possibly mean your base is killing more zombies which results in
less score. I'm sure there's a balance between these two that allow for
more score gain, but something like this would be specific to what base
you're using. Another thing that i've tried to use to my advantage is
melee towers, after you max out your cannons and bombs, there's not much
you can do to gain more tower hits. So, I went and tried to use melee
towers to gain more hits, the reasoning behind this was, melee towers
shoot quickly, and don't do knockback, so they won't push the zombies
away. Problems came when the melee kept dying, and they messed with the
shape of the base and overall just didn't improve anything, because they
are single target towers, so they won't help much to gain more score.
Before you say it, no.. you can't build a base close to your score base
and use that to increase the amount of tower hits... I've tried to do this
many times using 24 wood bombs, it didn't change the score enough to be
able to notice it, so I'd say this does nothing.
