The shape of your score base really matters... Like a lot. the first
generation side score base, as most of you know had a flat top. This is
really bad for a few reasons, firstly, it causes more zombies to spawn at
the sides, because there's more towers inline with the goldstash.
Secondly, when you have more zombies spawning at the sides you have less
zombies that spawn in the front and this causes there to be less zombies
that go to the entrance lowering the total score gain. Another reason why
having more zombies spawn at the sides is that you will need more towers
to hold them back, mostly cannons... because of this you will have less of
them to use in the front of the base and therefore have less tower hits on
the zombies and less score. But wait, It doesn't end there, you still have
the entire front side of your score base! The front can be by far the most
important, as that's where most of your zombies spawn. Every notice that
in a side score base, the zombies on the right side always form a long
stringy shape? no? Well if yes, you're in luck because I have a few ways
to help out with that! Firstly, probably the most simple way to combat
this, is to increase the size of the left side of your base and decrease
the size of the right, this will cause more zombies to spawn on the right.
But if that still isn't enough... Ever notice that the point in which the
zombies form that long string, is the furthest out point on the right
side? Well you could change the shape so that the point is as close to the
entrance as possible, so then your player is bombing directly into it,
which can help. There is still one more way that i've found is to
completely stop the zombies from doing this.. Basically what you have to
do is flatten out the bottom of the right side, but beware.. this can
cause a lot of stress on the right side.
